PENANG – Arcobaleno Musical Concert lit a colourful night at the recent extraordinary show organised by Teenz Frequency of Han Chiang College.
Approximately 200 people were thrilled with the non-stop blasts of music at the explosive music celebration at Lim Lean Teng Hall last Friday.
The organizing chairperson, Kam Kah Mun, 19, officiated the Arcobaleno Musical Concert with a bang in her powerful opening.
Kam stated in her opening speech, “the main purpose is to let talented students showcase the colours of their talents to the crowd, as the word “arcobaleno” means “rainbow” in Italian”.
The speech was followed by the presentation of gifts to the sponsors of the concert. In an interview with Kam after the presentation, she mentioned, “the concert is a success, but behind the glory is always a team of hardworking people who never gave up, from the very beginning of the planning stage.”
“The concert is a success but definitely could be further improved and I hope that more students in Han Chiang College and members of the public could participate in more of these student-held events to show their support”.
Leon, a singer in the Arcobaleno Musical Concert, said, “I was not as nervous as I was before as I already had experiences in singing in a concert beforehand”.
After his performance, he stated that he was “relieved yet sad” because his training for the concert paid off but it could not last longer.
Lau Han Jie, a renowned singer in Malaysia, who presented his number said “I was invited by one of my high school friends who is currently studying at Han Chiang College.” He added, “I have rarely participated in a concert which consists of a theme, although I have performed in numerous concerts”.
“I like the concept very much and I am really impressed by the masterminds behind the concert,” he mentioned. The concert ended on a high note with a rave party on stage with numerous committee members, performers and participants dancing their hearts out to the music.
