Dé Showtime students put the remainder from their Final Year Premiere 2017 funds to good use by donating videography equipment worth RM10, 109.00 to Han Chiang College (HCC).
The contribution helps to boost the existing videography equipment that HCC has and will certainly provide the existing broadcasting students more equipment for their future shooting projects. The move will also ensure better quality films that are produced.
Upon the success of the premiere 3 months ago, Dé Showtime Final Year Premiere 2017 committee decided to pursue this good deed.
Vice President, Choong Yeu May, 20, said, “We are thankful and appreciate all the lecturers especially the broadcasting lecturers who guided us all the way to make our premiere a success”.
“Without their guidance, our films would not have turned out well and we also owe it to the sponsors for their contribution in the form of monetary and non-monetary”, she added. The equipment contributed to the college included 2 tripods, 2 sliders, 2 ball heads, 2 monopods, 2 shortgun mics, 2 portable LED lights, 1 ring light with stand, 1 stabaliser, 1 jib arm with tripod and 2 sets of boom mics and boom poles.

Dé Showtime Final Year Premiere 2017 was held on 14 July 2017 (Friday) at Auditorium Tun Dr Lim Keng Yaik, Wawasan Open University, showing the work of a total of 11 production teams which included short films, TV commercials, a Corporate Video, and Public Service Announcements (PSA). This annual premiere is a final year project of Han Chiang College students who are required to produce their own films and invite the general public for the mentioned screening.
