Han Chiang College (HCC) alumni can now apply for scholarships to pursue their masters at Jimei University in China.
Students who have completed their diplomas at HCC and gone on to finish their degree, are eligible to apply for the 10 scholarships.
Jimei University deputy director Jianping Wu said the scholarships will cover the RM12,000 annual tuition fees while students will pay for their living expenses.
“While students can pursue any course, it is advisable that they do not make a major switch from a science background to a humanities course or vice versa,” Wu said during the visit to Han Chiang College.
She added that it is not recommended that students pursue courses in wushu, music or art if they do not have a qualification in those areas.
Competition to gain a place at Jimei University is high as the institution offers 69 degree courses, 4 masters and 2 PhDs.
