Han Chiang College (HCC) has published the ninth volume of its annual bilingual journal on film, history, social issues and emerging trends.
The 2017 edition includes research papers on Filem Rock Oo (2012): Kritikan Sosial dan Latar Sejarah, Democratisation of Cinematic Space in Malaysia: Digital Film Activism and the Freedom Film Festival, Needs Analysis of Tour Operators on English Language Use in Songkhla Thailand, The Influence of Social Media in Public Relations, The Evolution of Cantopop and The Phenomenon of Running Man in Malaysia.
All papers are produced by HCC lecturers and contributed by scholars and postgraduate students from local and overseas universities.
Chief editor Dr Ooi Bee Peng said the journal is an open academic publication aimed at promoting academic research and communication in the academia.
“Scholars and students can gain new insights and keep themselves updated with the latest studies, theories and ideas,” she said adding that the journal makes great example for academic paper writing, particularly to students.
“With continuous improvements, we hope to facilitate better exchange of ideas, create dialogues and develop each academician’s skills.”
The journals are available at HCC library and online.
