Han Chiang University College of Communication’s (HCUC) Diploma in Multimedia Communication Design graduating students is organising a graduation exhibition entitled POPKON, starting today until August 19.
The three-day multimedia design exhibition will be held in 1st Avenue Mall, Penang (level 8) from 10 am to 10pm.
School of Applied Creative Arts and Design dean Lim Chun Woei said the concept of POPKON refers to the combination of two words, namely pop and icon, which brings out the creative personality of the students.
“This is a regular event organised by the School to allow its graduating students to not only showcase their artistic talents, but also expand their knowledge and experience in organising a public event.
“This year, the students decided to create the exhibition theme in ‘iconification’ style, which also refers to the use of small images or symbols.
“Each icon, though it may look small, plays an important part in every design and this can also reflect the diverse creativity of the students,” he said.
POPKON Multimedia Design Graduation Exhibition is open to the public.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held at the same place on August 18 (Saturday) at 11am.
